Colour, vibrancy, cowgirls, cowboys and of course faaaaaaairy floss, Brisbane’s Ekka is just around the corner.

 Ekka 2012 was officially launched at the RNA Showground's Stockman's Bar and Grill last week, three weeks out from its annual opening.

With the 15-year rejuvenation of the RNA site continuing, visitors will notice some slight changes to this year’s event, but nothing that will affect all the fun of the show.

RNA chief executive Brendan Christou said organisers are keen to ensure "value for money" by providing plenty of free entertainment and offering discounted ticket bundles for pre-sale until Ekka eve.
