Brisbane's Gay & Lesbian Business network continues to grow and grow. Earlier this month, the GLBN held their latest monthly social event at the Sportsman Hotel with attendance exceeding 80 people.

Members are now starting to receive large referrals from the network. During the month of May over $115,000 worth of business was shared between members, and that is merely the business that is highlighted to members of the committee – there is definitely more. Whilst many people in the room attend only to meet with like minded business people, there are many in the room who are looking for the opportunity to spread business with other GLBTIQ business people.

GLBN President, Troy Quaife, said “I am excited to see the business network grow to the extent that it has. It wouldn’t be possible had it not been for our amazing members and sponsors. For those who haven’t yet attended an event, now is the time to take advantage of this ever growing group of business people. You, too can be starting to get your share of the growing GLBTIQ business pie”

This event also celebrated the 300th edition of QNews. At the event Troy Quaife congratulated QNews publisher, Ray Mackereth on this amazing achievement and thanked him for his ongoing support for the Brisbane GLBN as well as many other community groups. Quaife said “Without the ongoing help from organisations such as QNews, community groups such as the GLBN would not be able to provide the support for our members that we do.”

The next Brisbane Gay & Lesbian Business Network event will be the End of Financial Year Cocktail Party on Friday 30th June at CGallery.  Tickets are on sale now. For further information please visit the GLBN website www.glbn.org.au or email events@glbn.org.au.
