Britney Spears Live – The Femme Fatale Tour – DVD Had to see this performance to see if Britney was as restless, unmotivated and miserable as critics (like me) thought she was in her previous act when visiting Brisbane. There is definitely a mime element to her songs considering they sound exactly like they do on her album however she definitely brings more energy to this performance. Britney also appears very limited in her dance moves as opposed to her pre-breakdown days – her moves are very simple and mildly effective – entertaining only to the hardcore fans. However, I’m sure there are people out there that are satisfied just to see her on stage stepping along to her music. Piece Of Me is impressive with heightened electric guitar implementation. Lace and Leather allows you to see Britney interact with the audience by inviting a lucky guest onstage to be dirty danced on. If You Seek Amy adopts a jazzy, 1950’s interpretation, Gimme More goes Egyptian – very different, ‘Boys’ is revived, plenty of originality is brought back to Baby One More Time. Britney also brings her version of S&M to the stage as well as a Japanese music cultured theme and sound remix of Toxic. Britney also delivers all the single releases off Femme Fatale including a very special guest appearance in her last act ‘Till The World Ends,’ which I won’t spoil, you will have to see it. If a Chris Crocker Britney fan, this DVD won’t disappoint.
