Florence And The Machine – Ceremonials

Florence honestly can sing gibberish or just bellow out tunes and it will still sound amazing!

Florence’s sound has definitely been twinged a bit since her previous album – the music is a lot more powerful featuring plenty of piano and other string instruments. Plenty of backing vocals are implemented too that a gospel vibe is generated minus the religious messages. Risky yet exploring and successful. Hard not to be inspired when hearing the clapping and drums to ‘Heartlines’ accompanied by Florence’s heavenly, angel voice. Although every track has a moment where Florence sounds beyond sensational, other great tracks consist of ‘Spektrum’ (brings back Florence’s signature harp sound) and of course her commercial releases ‘Shake It Out’ and ‘What The Water Gave Me.’ Perfect album to play when having a lazy Sunday, ‘catching up with a friend over a wine’ compilation.
