Queensland’s biggest and gayest party is back again this March and the organisers of Big Gay Day have already nabbed a big international act with the news that the world’s most famous drag queen, RuPaul will be jetting into Bris Vegas to be one of the headline acts.

Rumours that RuPaul would be making an appearance began swirling on the internet last week before they were confirmed on the Big Gay Day Facebook page. “The cat was somewhat let out of the drag bag,” the post read. “But we are still more than wetting pants excited to welcome the legendary RuPaul to BGD 2012.”

RuPaul will join legendary DJ Wayne G and a host of other performers at the Wickham Hotel on the big day, but the word on Wickham St is that there will be some more big announcements coming soon.
