Josh Maddick, the winner of Mr Gay Brisbane has received the runner up award at The national Mr Gay Australia competition held in Sydney recently. The title was taken out by Ben Edwards, a 28 year old gay rugby player form Sydney.

Josh told QNews “I think it is a really great achievement. I never even expected to even make it past the first round of the Mr Gay Brisbane heats let alone be the runner up to Mr Gay Australia. It was all a lot of fun, I have never seen so many good looking guys in one spot
at any one time.”

Since winning the title of Mr Gay Brisbane, Josh has been featured in a number of magazines and newspapers, including being on the cover of QNews.

“I have nearly lost count of the amount of interviews I have done with various newspapers, but I'm quite liking the attention I get from it! Seeing the photo
of me on the front cover of QNews took a bit to get used to.”

Josh now has his sights set on representing Australia at the World Outgames to be held in Copenhagen next year as part of the Sydney Outfielders Softball team. Josh is the only non Sydney resident invited to join the team.
