FAMILY TIES MOTHER OUTED BY BIG-FAT LOSER!

This article goes out to anyone who has ever been bullied into coming out. In particular, I’m sending heart felt hugs to Meredith Baxter.
For seven years, actress Meredith Baxter has been hiding that she is a lesbian.
Baxter played the devoted hippie mother constantly butting heads with her conservative kids on the hit television series “Family Ties.”
“I am a lesbian and it was a later-in-life recognition,” she told Matt Lauer on TODAY. “Some people would say, well, you’re living a lie and, you know, the truth is — not at all. This has only been for the past seven years.”
“I got involved with someone I never expected to get involved with, and it was that kind of awakening,” she said. “I never fought it because it was like, oh, I understand why I had the issues I had early in life. I had a great deal of difficulty connecting with men in relationships.”
The 62-year-old was anxious to reveal the truth because of pressure from celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
Hilton, known for bullying other stars like Neal Patrick Harris and Lance Bass into outing themselves, posted pictures of Baxter cuddling her girlfriend on his site.
Faced with her life all over tabloids, Baxter decided to beat him to the chase.
“I don’t want to be worried all the time,” she said. “I knew I was pushing it”.
She told the Today program that she wanted it to be truthful and in her own words.
I think the real issue here is not that the public wouldn’t accept Meredith for who she really is. It can be seen from the lack of public response that no one seem to give a rats who she was with.
There is a serious problem with a certain fatty fatty blogger. My message to you Mr Hilton,
Coming out can be a terribly traumatic time in anyone’s life. You are not helping anyone, individuals or our community by outing celebrities. Perezhilton.com is an indulgent waste of net-space, geared only to bring down others so that your incredibly low self-esteem can have less of a beating.
