Cairns Mardi Gras Recovery

In recent years, Queensland's far north has really started to come into its own for the GLBT community, boasting local events to showcase Cairn's pride all year round.

With the fun and frivolity of the Sydney Mardi Gras season over for another year, your probably either thinking 'where in the world can I recover from it?', or for you more hardcore queens out there, 'keep partying on!' Well cairns and the tropical north may have exactly what you guys and girls are looking for....whatever that is. Cairns has it all, beautiful beaches, rainforest and relaxation and a great local scene that is sure to please.

Skinny Dips will as normal, have a jam packed week of parties and events, with the highlight being the Surf & Turf Dance Party held on Friday 13th March.

Turtle cove resort will also be hosting a Mardi Gras recovery party on the 13 march with a midday BBQ, 3.00 pm quadbikes for all you dirty boys and @ 7.00 lighting up the night with DJ Paris.

The weekend concludes with the 'LOVE and RESPECT Party' at theBlue Sky Brewery. Featuring DJ Sveta, direct from Sydney, Love and Respect promises to be the ultimate way to end your tropical get away.

Other local events include the 'meet the visitors' night @ sapphire on the 9th march for all u 'out of towners' to meet up with the local guys and gals and the new OUT nights held every month, next of which will be a 'White party' held on the 21st march,
