Kristy Apps To Perform at Girlfest '09

Local artist Kristy Apps is preparing to release her 2nd full length studio CD ‘ Pour Me Out’ and leading up to it she is filling her self up with loads of music and touring.. Currently recording her new album with ARIA nominated producer Anthony Lycenko, she is about to head to Melbourne for a few shows, perform at Girlfest 09 and then hit the stage in Sydney at Mardi Gras before putting the finishing touches on her new recording which is set for release in April. After the release of “Pour Me Out” Kristy will hit the road for a national tour. She has spent most of 2008 writing and in pre production for the full-length release and is looking forward to getting back on stage and back on the road to play the new tunes. If you’re wondering what the new sound is, Kristy says it’s a bit of a surprise. “The feeling and emotion will definitely be there, mostly new songs but also a couple that I have been playing at gigs and have never recorded. Being half way through the recording I’m watching it grow in front of my eyes. I’m loving making it, and that will come through. It is by far the most exciting recording I have ever made”.
