MR Q HEATING UP

MR Q HEATING UP

After the first three heats of Mr Q Search for a Cover Boy, there are just four heats remaining and the competition is hotting up with unprecedented applications for the remaining heats. The first heat was at Skinny Dips in Cairns won by Ben, followed by Lismore’s Tropical Fruits Pool Party on New Years Day won by Michael and two weeks ago at MPs on the Gold Coast where Greg won.
One finalist from each heat will be competing for the ultimate $10,500.00 spending spree thanks to the generosity of Domayne Fortitude Valley. Other sponsors who have made the competition possible include www.thedramadownunder.info, Klub Kruise and Russel Fleming Photography plus the venues hosting the competition.
There are only four heats left including three to be held at the Wickham Hotel and one on the Sunshine Coast at Horizons Mardi Gras Recovery Week. All finalists will appear in the final to be held on the main stage at Big Gay Day Summer Street Party. Big Gay Day is now Australia’s second largest gay and lesbian party and unlike all the other large GLBT parties, Big Gay Day raises money for a great cause, youth suicide prevention. The Mr Q finalists will be on the same stage as BGD headline acts such as Kelly Rowland & Kate Cook.
The last heats of this fun competition are almost full and there has been a huge crowd response and show of support for the entrants, to quote one contestant from the Gold Coast “It is the most fun I have had ever! I am usually the shy type but this was absolutely fantastic and even though I didn’t win I will be back next year just for the excitement! I am so glad I went through with it”
Whilst a buff bod can be seen as an advantage by some, it is personality and the fun side of a person that has helped our heat winners get into the finals and all ages are encouraged to enter as QNews has a diversity of covers.
Whilst most heats are almost full you still have a chance to enter via the QNews website www.qnews.com.au/MRQ but hurry spaces are limited and many people leave it to the last minute to enter. QNews promises entrants they will have a lot of fun.
