Nominate now for Queen's Ball Awards

Nominations for the Queen's Birthday Community Awards are coming in fast but Scott Hampson, Brisbane Pride President, still wants a whole lot more!

“We're encouraging people to look around them, at the people in their lives that they respect and appreciate for the great work their doing in the community and put their name forward for an award,” said Scott.

“They could be a great sportsperson, a great campaigner, a great artist, a great entertainer. If you think they've made a difference or been a great example then let us know about it,” said Scott.

The Queen's Birthday Community Awards night will take place on Saturday 6 June, at the Judith Wright Centre. Tickets for the event will go on sale in the next couple of weeks.

The gala event aims to celebrate the efforts of community groups and individuals who promote the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people in Brisbane and throughout the country,
