Mardi Gras Recovery Week on the Sunshine Coast is heating up with well known Sydney drag identity Trevor Ashley being named as the feature artist at the Mardi Gras Recovery Dinner at the Noosa Sheraton ballroom on Thursday March 4.
Ashley is considered “Mardi Gras Royalty” and stared in Priscilla, Queen of The Desert the Musical, as a member of its original Australian cast.
Joining Ashley on stage will be award winning showbiz veterans Chi Chi and Cha Cha Lombardo, who have been entertaining the masses on board the Columbian cruise ship “Hispanic Princess” for the last 35 years.
They would have been buried at sea if not for the Somalian pirate attack off the coast of Africa which sank the Princess mid show. Luckily they were rescued by a Seven Seas Fantasy Cruise for the over 70’s which brought them to Noosa for the very first time.
In other news from the Mardi Gras recovery week, this time especially for the girls ... The Lavender Sunset Cruise will depart from the Noosa harbour wharf at Tewantin at 3.30 Tuesday, March 2 for a beautiful afternoon cruise. Tickets are $40 which includes welcome drinks and finger food.
