DENMARK – 25 YEARS OF SAME-SEX UNIONS

While Australia is still hasn’t managed to legalise same-sex marriage, Denmark is celebrating 25 years of official same-sex unions.

In October 1989, Denmark became the first country in the world to legally recognise LGBT civil unions.

In 2012 Denmark took their registered partnerships one step further when same-sex marriage was introduced.
