Winners Of Our ‘Yes’ Video Competition Announced This Weekend

QNews is excited to announce that the winners of our “Yes” Campaign video competition will be revealed in Brisbane this Saturday.

During the same-sex marriage postal survey, we asked entrants to create a 30 second video on their mobile phone explaining to family and friends what a “yes” vote means to them.

All entries will be screened at the Sportsman Hotel and the winner announced on Saturday, October 28 from 1 pm. The Sportsman Hotel is located at 130 Leichhardt St in Spring Hill.

On the day, two prizes will be awarded to the lucky winners: the Judge’s Choice will win $500 and the People’s Choice will win $250.

The competition was proudly made possible by QNews, the Sportsman Hotel, and Nash Accounting and Taxation.

The panel of judges will include:

Vicki Howard (Brisbane City Councillor, Central Ward)

Neil McLucas (Owner, Sportsman Hotel)

Richard Bakker (Publisher, QNews)
