Boot Co.’s annual dance party Corium returns to Number 29 Cruise Club on August 27, and the Boot Co. team have been busy putting together another exciting event this year.
As in previous years, the headline attraction is the conclusion of Mr Queensland Leather and Queensland Leather Boy 2016 competitions and the announcement of this year’s winners.
Those who attended Boot Co.’s Tom’s Bar event on August 6 will know that both competitions attracted an impressive field of entrants who would all be very capable ambassadors for Brisbane’s leather and fetish community.
The 2016 competitions see Torren Adelle, Benjamin Bullivant and Gary Woodhouse vying for the title of Mister Queensland Leather 2016 and David Allen, Luke Bayliss and Josh Egan competing for the Queensland Leather Boy 2016 trophy.
“We are very grateful to Number 29 for hosting Corium again this year,” Boot Co. president Joshua Hart said.
“The different indoor and outdoor spaces make Corium the perfect combination of dancing, chatting and cruising once the formalities of the MQL and QLB competitions have concluded.”
The doors to Corium will open at 6.00 pm and early birds will be able to take advantage of the BBQ/sausage sizzle in the garden area. DJ’s Fradge and Seanieboi will keep you sweating on the dance floor from 10.00 pm. Drinks will be available until midnight and the event will be BYO from 12.30 am.
As a BYO event, Corium is not impacted by recently-introduced alcohol service restrictions and will run until very, very late! Spunk’d Adult Store will be trading during the event and will also provide a coat check facility.
As well as being a highlight of the Brisbane leather, fetish and kink social calendar, Corium is Boot Co.’s most significant fundraising event for the year, helping to support the organisation’s program of donations to LGBTIQ community bodies.
“We are also very grateful for the ongoing support of Corium’s & MQL Major Sponsor Lucrezia & DeSade, and our other contributing sponsors Spunk’D Adult Store, Army Of Men Leather and Fetish, Number 29 and STFUmedia for their sponsorship of MQL and QLB competitions. Our ability to offer the amazing prizes provided by our sponsors is critical to the success of the competitions. The generous support of Q News in promoting Boot Co.’s events is also greatly appreciated,” Hart said.
Tickets to Corium are $30 for members and $35 for guests and are available online from Boot Co’s website and at Number 29 at 29 McLachlan Street in Fortitude Valley in Brisbane. If not sold out, a limited amount of tickets will be available on the door for $35 from 6.00pm on the night.
