Drag queen RuPaul has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, which was unveiled in a ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.
In accepting the honour, the creator of RuPaul’s Drag Race told the crowd that receiving a star was “absolutely the most important moment of my professional life”.
“I wish for each and every person within the sound of my voice, that your dreams come true as mine have,” he said.
Fans lined the Hollywood Boulevard to cheer RuPaul on and thank him for all he’s done for the LGBTQ community.
“As a kid we’d come up here to Hollywood Boulevard,” he said. “I’d look at all the stars and dream that one day, I could be one of the stars on Hollywood Boulevard.
“I feel like I’m being knighted.”

Actress Jane Fonda presented RuPaul, 57, with the honour saying that his star should be “at least three sizes bigger than any other star on the Walk of Fame” because nobody else has launched an industry in the way that he has.
“He created an industry that has given hundreds and hundreds of jobs and dreams to so many,” she said.
