Out news and weather anchor Blaine Stewart has created a Twitter storm with a humorous post as parts of the US are being battered by snow and freezing conditions.

Arctic conditions have been sweeping across parts of the country – with a low of -45F being recorded in Minnesota.

Stewart, of WKTR 3 News in Virginia, had a unique way of warning viewers to brace for more bad weather.

Alongside a map showing snow forecasts in the region, he said: “UPDATE: Get ready for a pounding. Some of us could see 8 inches or more. That’s too much — even for me.”

Such jokes are nothing new to Stewart.

Last year, Virginia was expected to get hit with as much as 10 inches of snow, and he warned viewers that those were actual inches “not Grindr inches”.

Stewart also made headlines back in 2016 when after a news report of Victoria Secret’s new fantasy bra he said: “For most guys a fantasy bra is one they can actually unhook.”

His co-anchor broke out in laughter as he quickly added: “Trust me, I wouldn’t know.”
